Legacy Scholarship
The Clarissa B. Gaddis Legacy Scholarship was created to share Clarissa’s dreams and aspirations. This scholarship will provide financial support for interested business students that understand the importance of building generational wealth and how it can be passed onto future generations.
The Clarissa B. Gaddis Legacy Scholarship is an aid to help students who are starting or in college so that they can complete their task in seeking knowledge to completion.

Dauclau A. Diallo
Howard University
School of Fine Arts, Graphic Design Major
Dauclau Diallo is a Senior from Warren Mott High School in Warren Michigan. She is a rising Freshman at Howard University. Dauclau has interned with Signs and More where she learned many things associated with art design and had other work experiences in her young life. She has many skills and techniques, related to her chosen major, graphic design. She has also been exposed to new software that will help her along the way.
Dauclau currently runs an art account on social media in the hopes of meeting artists online who can expose her to different techniques. She is extremely grateful to have been accepted into Howard University and can’t wait to make her mark in graphic design in college and beyond.
2022 Clarissa B. Gaddis Legacy Scholarship Winner
Myra LaShaun Thompson is a Senior Marketing Major from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois. Myra is currently a Nordstrom Ambassador, HBO Max, Brand Ambassador and running her own blog, LaShaun Thoughts. On campus, Myra is currently serving as the President of The International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi, Iota Rho Chapter. She also works with the Dean’s Office in the College of Fine Arts aiding Dean Rashad and Assistant Dean Saunders-Thompson in whatever is needed to enhance the school.
Myra loves volunteering with Jeremy’s Dream Foundation, an organization that randomly blesses Black families in the Chicagoland area, and has been a volunteer since its founding in 2016. Myra’s ambitious and lively personality continues to color her remarkable time on Howard’s campus through building new bonds with her mentees and establishing herself as a star student in class.
